SoCal CMSA is the newest club in Southern California for the exciting sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Cowboy Mounted Shooting is both a shooting sport and equestrian sport which can be enjoyed by the whole family, beginners to professionals, children to seniors. It is currently the fasted growing equestrian Sport in the USA!

 The SoCal CMSA Club is located in the great town of Norco California, known as Horse Town USA. It has just been added to the NFR in Las Vegas for the first time this year! The object is to run a timed pattern of 10 balloons, shooting five that are set in a random pattern with one of two 45 single action Six shooters, changing guns and shooting the other five with the other gun. In most cases there is a barrel turn and then the last five are set in a straight line called “The Rundown.” The blanks consist of a mixture of black powder, which provides a spray of about 15 feet to break the balloons. The SoCal CMSA use blanks which are made with crimped end brass no wadding.
